How to choose Bluetooth headphones
The choice that you make when it comes to Bluetooth headphones is going to be determined by a number of factors. This applies whether or not we are talking about the JBL Headphones Bluetooth range or some other model. We have previously written a comprehensive article in which we provide a guide to choosing headphones. Feel free to look at that if you wish to learn more. The following are some of the things that you need to consider when choosing headphones;
What do you want to use them for?
Ask yourself what you want to use them for. There are headphones out there that are designed for almost anything. As an example, there are cheap wireless headphones for jogging and there are also headphones for gaming. There are also headphones for TV viewing and others for noise cancelling. Of course, any set of headphones can be used for any purpose, but having ones that are built for a particular purpose provides the most in terms of value.
Noise cancelling tends to be another big consideration when people are choosing headphones, be it the JBL headphones wireless range or any other range. Noise cancelling is, simply put, the ability by headphones to shut out ambient noises.
One of the things that you will discover is that there are actually very few headphones that are able to provide you with 100% noise cancelling. However, most come close. Noise cancelling is great, but do you need it? If you need headphones for running, as an example, you don’t really need noise cancelling. You can’t go around running in the street without being aware of what’s going on around you.
You should also research issues to do with durability when choosing headphones. Carry out your research online and you will find lots of information. Don’t buy anything without first reading the reviews. Be aware, however, that there will always be negative reviews for any product. This applies be they JBL headphones wireless range or some other brand.
When reading reviews, you need to look at the ratio. And you need to look at consistency. If ten people say a particular set of headphones has good sound quality, then that will probably be the case. And if 10 people say the same headphones tend to get rather uncomfortable, then you would be too optimistic to expect much comfort when you buy them.
Of course, the issue of price comes into play when it comes to buying headphones. This is actually normal for most people. One of the things that you are going to discover when choosing from the JBL headphones wireless range is that prices for headphones are all over the place. In fact, there are very few products that show similar price differences. There are Bluetooth headphones out there that cost less than $20. Then there are other headphones out there that cost over $1000.
One piece of advice that we would like to five is; don’t let price be too much of a guide. Of course, you will have a certain amount that you are willing to pay. However, you should not assume that expensive headphones are better. Far from it! We have come across headphones that cost less than $20 that have received rave reviews. And there are $300 headphones out there that have been blasted by people who have bought them.
Quality of sound should actually be up there when it comes to choosing headphones. You do not buy headphones for their looks, after all. You buy them because for their sound. The unfortunate thing is that it’s not possible to listen for sound quality when buying headphones online. However, you can check online at what people have said with regard to your headphones of choice.
Anyway, JBL is known for producing headphones of great quality. In fact, the company is well known for producing headphones that produce kickass sound quality. This applies whether one is talking about the JBL headphones wireless range or the wired range. When you buy JBL, you can expect the best, so you shouldn’t be worried. Anyway, again, we encourage you to read reviews before buying.
Fit type is actually a very important consideration when buying headphones. However, not many people consider it, much to their discomfort. You should decide how you wish to wear your headphones before buying them. The following are the types of fit that are available for headphones;
- Over ear
- On ear
- In ear
Over ear headphones
Over ear headphones have become the most common on the market over the past few years. They also tend to be the most comfortable. Over ear headphones sit on the area around the ears. This means you wont have chaffing on your ears. You can see an example of over-the-ear fit headphones in the above image.
As their name imply, on ear headphones sit on your ear as you listen to your audio. Depending on how well they are made, this can become uncomfortable. Also note that on ear headphones mostly do not have full noise cancelling capabilities. That’s because there is really no way to block out all the ambient noise.
In ear headphones
In ear headphones are what are referred to as earphones. They sit right in the ear and can offer noise cancelling. In ear headphones can also be uncomfortable. So, it’s something that you need to consider when buying these headphones. A great advantage for these headphones is that they are light weight. In fact, you can throw them into a pocket.
JBL Wireless Headphones Reviews
Now, it’s time to review a few of the JBL wireless headphones that are out there. Hope this section will help you choose the best option for you. You will see that all these headphones are varied in terms of features and prices. But you will be able to find something that’s suitable for you;

What do customers say?
Now, let’s take a look at some of the features that are listed above. We take the unique approach of looking at each element from the point of view of customers. If it’s Bluetooth, what do people who have previously bought these headphones say about that? The same applies for all the other features given above. What do people who have already bought these headphones have to say?
As far as we can tell, there are no issues with the JBL headphones Bluetooth range in terms of connectivity. Connectivity is smooth and range tends to be above the industry standards. In fact, connectivity on the Tune 500BT is so good that you can leave your phone inside while working outside your house and you will still be able to listen to your music. Setting up is easy and you should be done in a few moments.
Build and Sound Quality
Build quality is generally not an issue for JBL headphones. We have already noted that they are one of the best known brands when it comes to audio equipment. Check online, and you will understand what we are saying here. Most users praise the JBL Headphones Wireless Tune 500BT’s sound quality. One area on which JBL is able to deliver on is Bass.
The issue of bass, it has to be said, tends to be prominent when it comes to Bluetooth headphones. Most headphones that are out there do not do justice to music as conceived by the musician. Bass is often lacking. That’s probably why bass has become a marketing point when it comes to headphones. Most of the brands that are out there promise a superior quality bass.
No Active Noise Cancelling
We have previously reviewed Cowin E7 Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth headphones. JBL TUNE500BT headphones do not come with advertise Active Noise Cancelling. So, this is something that you are going to need to be aware of. However, you do get some level of noise blocking due to the over-ear form factor. These headphones will naturally keep our a lot of the noises that are around you.
Note however, that noise cancelling is only great when in a plane or some other private place. When around other people, you need to be able to listen, at least partially, to outside noises. So Active Noise Cancelling is not that big a deal on headphones as it is made out to be.
Volume on JBL Bluetooth headphones is good enough. In fact, you will find customers who say it gets a bit too loud. Of course, it’s a simple matter of reducing it, so that shouldn’t be an issue.
At 16 hours, battery life is not the best that you will be able to find out there. COWIN E7 Bluetooth headphones, as example, will get you a battery life of 30 hours. That’s almost twice what you get on JBL headphones wireless Tune 500BT. JBL Tune 500BT Headphones are a bit cheaper than the COWIN E7, so, there is that. It has to be said, however, that 16 hours between charges is nothing to frown upon.
If you use your headphones like a normal person, for 3 or 4 hours a day, you will spend at least 4 days between charges. If you read reviews, you will find some people who tested battery life, and it went up to 20 hours on a single charge, so JBL appears to have understated available battery power. The entry life for battery life on Bluetooth headphones is 8 hours. So, JBL Headphones Wireless Tune 500BT have twice that, which is great.
Automatic switch off
An unstated feature on JBL headphones Bluetooth Tune 500 Headphones is that they will switch themselves off after around 20 minutes without being used. This goes a long way in preserving battery life.
Charging time on JBL Headphones Wireless Tune 500 is extremely low. At 2 hours, very few brands can compete on this point. The average charging time for Bluetooth headphones across the industry appears to be 4 hours. You can also give these headphones a quick 5 minutes charge and they will provide you with an additional hour of listening time. However, note that recharge time is not that big a deal. Not when we are all used to recharging our devices overnight.
One advantage of having a smaller battery is that weight tends to be low. JBL Tune 500 Headphones weigh only 5.47 ounces. Weight on headphones is of particular importance, considering the amounts of time that some people spend listening to music. There are some headphones out there that begin to weigh you down after only a few minutes of wearing them. That, fortunately enough, is not the case with JBL Headphones Wireless Tune 500BT.
Comfort tends to be a huge consideration when it comes to headphones. You don’t want to buy headphones that become a pain in the head after only a short while. That’s particularly the case if you are one of those people who spend virtually the entire day with headphones stuck to their heads. JBL Headphones Bluetooth Tune 500BT have soft ear cushions and are padded, so you can spend extended periods without taking them off your head.
Buttons on JBL Headphones Wireless Tune 500BT are easily accessible. And they are nothing fancy. They are just what you need; Volume up and down buttons, as well as the power button. The power button also serves for Bluetooth pairing.
One key issue for headphones in general is portability. JBL Headphones Bluetooth Tune 500BT headphones deliver on this through a foldable design that allows you to easily take them wherever you are going. You can see what we are talking about in the above screenshot.
Like every other product that’s out there, JBL Headphones Wireless Tune 500BT have their detractors. The following are some of the common ones;
- JBL Tune 500 Headphones can be a tad too snug on the head, which can beuncomfortable. However, these headphones are adjustable, so this shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
- The power cord is a bit too short, so you cannot wear them while they are charging.
- They don’t come with a headphone jack, which removes the wired option. This can be a deal breaker for those that wish to occasionally use their headphones this way.
JBL LIVE 400BT Headphones
These are the second type of headphones with Bluetooth that we are going to look at here. JBL Wireless Headphones LIVE 400BT are actually a bit more expensive than JBL Tune 500BT headphones. But then, as already stated, price isn’t everything. Or is it? Let’s find out! JBL LIVE 400BT Bluetooth headphones come with the following features;
- JBL Signature Sound
- Battery life at 24 hours
- A Recharge time of 2 hours
- A comfort-fit headband that’s made of fabric
- Ambient Aware and TalkThru Technology

What do users say about these headphones?
There is an ongoing battle within the headphones making fraternity, involving jargon. Carry out research today and you will come across such terms as “ambient aware,” and “TalkThru technology.” However, that shouldn’t be a problem. The important thing is to find out whether or not the headphones that you are interested in are up to the task.
You may have noticed that we do not put too much stock into what brands say about their own headphones. After all, they will say almost anything to get you to buy. Fortunately, you don’t have to take their word for it. And you don’t have to be a pioneer. Not when there are hundreds, if not thousands of people who have already purchased what you wish to buy.
The first thing that you should do when buying headphones is to head over to the reviews section for the brand that you are interested in. If a gadget has a rating of less than 4, you would probably be better off staying away. But you do need to remember that there will always be unsatisfied customers, so you cannot expect a product, even the best, to have a rating of 5 out of 5. So, what do customers say about JBL LIVE 400BT headphones?
Sound is great
The first thing that you will notice about this particular brand of JBL Headphones with Bluetooth is that sound quality is good. That’s only to be expected. After all, they are made by JBL and JBL is well known for producing some of the best sound equipment that’s out there. In fact, some of the reviewers have gone so far as to compare sound quality on these headphones to the sound on Beats headphones. So, you can be sure that the benchmark is high.
The JBL app is convenient
After buying these headphones, you can download an app onto your phone that allows you to control some features on these headphones. As an example, you can use the JBL App to choose your preferred voice Assistant. Note that these headphones can be used with voice assistance such as Alexa and Google voice assistant. The app allows you to personalize use of these headphones.
Quality is great
Based on the reviews that were left online by users, build quality on JBL Headphones Wireless Range LIVE 400BT headphones is good. The headphones have a premium feel that bellies their price. That probably has to do with the fabric covering. In fact, many people state that JBL LIVE 400BT headphones look more expensive than they really are. They also have a sturdy feel, which is welcome. You don’t want headphones that fall apart after only a little while of use.
They are Foldable
Foldability is a must for those that regularly travel from one place to another. You want a pair of headphones that can be stored in as small a place as is possible. JBL Headphones Wireless LIVE 400BT deliver on this. As you can see in the above image, these headphones are very foldable. So, you should be able to stuff them in a suitcase so you can carry them wherever you are going.
You get the wired option
What do you do should your headphones battery die while you are in the middle of doing something important, such as listening to your favorite tracks? The good news for JBL Headphones Bluetooth LIVE 400BT is that they also come with a wired option. That’s different from JBL Tune 500 BT headphones that we reviewed at the beginning of this article.
Personally, I won’t buy a set of headphones that does not come with the wired option. There are times when I simply want to listen to music while working on my laptop. In those instances, there is really no need for me to use the Bluetooth option when listening to music. There is also the fact that there are some devices out there that actually do not have Bluetooth. So, being able to connect via the 3.5mm headphone jack expands my horizons.
Ambient Aware and TalkThru Technologies
What do you do if you want to hold a conversation while listening to music in the background via your headphones? You can simply take the headphones off, of course. That, in fact, is the logical thing to do. Nevertheless, with JBL LIVE 400BT headphones, you have another option. They come with TalkTru Technology, which is one of the selling points for this type of headphones.
If you were wondering at the usefulness of having Ambient Aware and TalkThru technologies, other than as a marketing gimmick, these features are actually good in that they allow you to hold conversations while also listening to your music. The feature can be turned on and off.
JBL Headphones Wireless LIVE 400BT do have some cons. Again, you can learn about these by checking out online reviews. So, what are cons for this particular brand of JBL Bluetooth headphones?
They are not very comfortable
In fact, comfort is the biggest complaint when it comes to JBL LIVE 400BT headphones. Most people state that they cannot wear the headphones for long periods without having to take them off. Of course, the level of discomfort is going to vary from person to person. If you are used to having things grip the sides of your heard, then you probably won’t have a problem with these headphones. You also won’t have an issue if your head is small.
Quality looks cheap in colors other than Black and White
JBL LIVE 400BT Bluetooth headphones come in back, blue, white, red and green. This should be great in that you can choose your preferred color. However, that tends not to be the case. In any color other than black and white, these headphones look cheap and corny. So, you may wish to stick to these two colors when buying yours.
So, what’s our recommendation with regard to the JBL Headphones Wireless LIVE 400BT. We recommend that if you are interested in these headphones, then you should not hesitate to buy them. Do note, however, that they can be a tad uncomfortable. So, if you spend lots of time listening to music, you may want to take that into consideration. Otherwise, for ordinary use, they are very good.
JBL LIVE 650BTNC Review
The JBL LIVE 650BTNC is the next product that we are going to look at in this JBL Wireless Headphones Review. So, what can you expect from the JBL LIVE 650BTNC? What do customers say about these headphones?
In this section of the JBL wireless headphones review, we are going to follow the formula that we have been following in our other reviews. All manufacturers that are out there will say lot’s of nice things about their products. But that’s really doesn’t mean much. Brands are out to make sales, after all.
What matters most is what people have been saying about a particular product. In this article, we are talking about JBL wireless headphones. The best way of knowing whether or not a particular product is good is by going online and reading the feedback that was left by previous buyers. The fortunate thing is that there are thousands upon thousands of product reviews floating around online. You only need to take some time to find them. So, what have people been saying about JBL LIVE 650BTNC headphones?
Performance is good
One of the things that you will notice is that JBL LIVE 650BTNC headphones are highly rated by people who have bought them. That doesn’t mean they have a 5 out of 5 rating. No product will ever get that. But they are very well rated on the sites that we have checked out, as you will see in the rest of this JBL LIVE 650BTNC headphones review.
The major reason why people seem to like these headphones is that performance is good. That’s only to be expected. JBL, after all, is one of the big names in audio equipment. The JBL Signature Sound is not just a marketing gimmick.
We noted elsewhere that sound quality should be the primary of your considerations when choosing headphones. You buy headphones because you want to listen to music. Of course, there is an element of show, but the primary reason why you buy your headphones is because you want to get the best possible in terms of sound quality.
Active Noise Cancelling is great
Noise cancelling has, over the past few years, become one of the biggest selling points for headphones. There are instances when you simply wish to shut out all the ambient noises around you. This could be because you are on a plane and would like to enjoy your music without the drone of the airplane’s engines. Or maybe you are in an office and would like to shut out your annoying colleagues. Whatever the case, noise cancelling comes in handy when it comes to getting as much sound privacy as is possible.
Noise cancelling is not always desirable, or advisable, but there are instances when you simply wish to shut everything else out. However, you will notice that most of the headphones that we have reviewed on this site do not quite deliver on noise cancelling. At least not as much as is advertised. The good thing is that JBL headphones generally perform great in terms of noise cancelling. If you read through our other JBL headphones reviews, you will notice what we are talking about here.
People who have bought JBL Headphones Wireless LIVE 650BTNC headphones attest to this fact. Noise Cancelling is not just a gimmick on these headphones. So, if Active Noise Cancelling is something that you are actively hunting for, you won’t go wrong with JBL LIVE 650BTNC headphones.
Comfort level is very good
Based on other JBL LIVE 650BTNC reviews online, comfort level is good on these headphones. Again, we reiterate that comfort is something that’s essential. If you use your headphones for any reasonable amount of time, you need them to have a build quality that allows you to wear them without feeling as if you have a couple of sacks on your head.
Fortunately, all the models that we feature in this JBL Wireless Headphones review are able to deliver on this aspect. In fact, the JBL LIVE 650BTNC is comfortable enough to be used on even the longest of flights. The LIVE 650BTNC comes in an over-ear fit style. What this means is that they sit in the area around your ear and not on your ear, which is great for comfort.
Battery life is more than adequate
This JBL headphones review would be incomplete without mentioning the issue of battery life. How long do you need to go between charges when using your headphones? Well, most people will say as long as is possible. Based on our research, the entry level battery life on headphones is 8 hours between charges.
On the high end, there are headphones out there that you can use for more than 100 hours without needing a recharge. The JBL LIVE 650BTNC gives you a battery life of 30 hours. That’s more than what you will find on competitor brands such as Bose wireless headphones.
At an average use of 3 hours a day, 30 hours translates to 10 days without needing to recharge your battery. Point is, battery is not something that you will ever need to worry about with these headphones. Note that with both Bluetooth and Active Noise Cancelling turned on, battery life comes down to 20 hours.
Recharging can be done in only 2 hours
Adding to the appeal for JBL LIVE 650BTNC headphones is that they can be recharged in only 2 hours. So, you don’t really ever need to worry about battery life when using these headphones. Charging is via a provided micro USB cable. In fact, you can use any other Micro USB cable to recharge these headphones.
The wired option
Most of the JBL headphones that we feature in this JBL wireless headphones review come with the option to use a 3.4 mm cable for connectivity. The JBL LIVE 650BTNC does not disappoint in this regard. All that you need to do is plug the cable into your headphones. Then you plug the other end into the 3.5mm headphones jack on your laptop, phone or tablet, and you should be good to go.
You will now be able to use these headphones as if they were wired. Personally, this is something that we have found to be rather handy. In fact, it’s so handy that we would be hesitant about buying headphones that do not come with the wired option. There are times when it’s better to connect using this cable, either to achieve the best in terms of sound quality, or simply to save your headphones’ battery.
Voice Assistants work great
Another feature worth noting about JBL Headphones Wireless LIVE 650BTNC is that they can be used with voice assistants such as Alexa and Google Voice Assistant. Having voice Assistants allows you to carry out a number of tasks using your voice, such as texting, checking the weather and playing your favourite tracks.
You get the My JBL Headphones App
Most of the headphones manufactures that are out there are trending towards adding functionality to their products using apps. Bose and JBL are good examples. Apps are great in that they allow you to do a lot more on your headphones.
You can, as an example, use the app to create audio profiles, which ensures that your music plays in just the right way. JBL wireless headphones are controlled using the MY JBL Headphones App. Once you have installed this app on your phone, you can easily personalize the way you listen to sounds on your headphones.
You don’t need the app to get connected
There are some headphones out there that will not work without the app. However, that is not the case with JBL Wireless Headphones LIVE 650BTNC, and this is good. You don’t want to get stuck simply because you are not able to install the app for one reason or the other. With JBL LIVE 650BTNC, all that you need to get connected is Bluetooth.
The following are cons for JBL Wireless Headphones LIVE 650BTNC;
The app can be difficult to set up
If you check out JBL wireless headphones reviews online, you will notice that one complaint floating around about the brand’s headphones is that the app can be difficult to set up. What we can say is that we also noticed similar complaints about the Bose App!
So, the issue may be that manufacturers have not made a serious attempt to simplify things, in terms of getting started. However, the good news is that once you have overcome this problem, using your headphones will be a breeze.
Music quality poor in wired mode
Some people have complained that music quality deteriorates when using JBL Wireless Headphones LIVE 650BTNC in wired mode. That’s actually weird. You would expect quality to increase when connected using the 3.5 mm cable.
Controls too touch sensitive and not well placed
Another complaint is that there is too much sensitivity on the left side of JBL Wireless Headphones LIVE 650BTNC. That’s the side that calls up Voice Assistant. So, people end up involuntarily activating Google Voice Assistant or whatever the voice assistant that they are using. Placement of buttons is another major complaint. That’s probably something that you will get used to over time.
What do you get?
So, what do you get when you buy these headphones? The following is what you get when you buy JBL Bluetooth Headphones LIVE 650BTNC;
- JBL LIVE 650BTNC headphones
- A charging cable
- A 3.5mm cable for wired connectivity
- A pouch
We have got to end this JBL wireless headphones review with a recommendation. What do we think about JBL Bluetooth Headphones LIVE 650BTNC? Should you buy or look at another product. Overall, what we can say is that the JBL LIVE 650BTNC is a great product.
If they have caught your fancy, by any means, buy them! You probably won’t be disappointed. Note that if you are not tech savvy, it may take you some time to get the app set up. But you only need to do this once and the headphones can be used without the app.

If you were looking for a JBL TUNE 600BTNC review, this section is for you. The JBL TUNE 600BTNC is priced in the mid range, as far as JBL is concerned. It has about the same price as the COWIN E7 Active Noise Cancelling, which is one of the trending headphones at the moment.

JBL, as the manufacturer, will say almost anything to promote its product. But what do people who have already bought these headphones have to say? Read the rest of this JBL Bluetooth headphones review to find out;
Sound quality is great
JBL has been making audio equipment for over 60 years. It’s not really surprising; therefore, that sound quality on JBL Wireless Headphones Tune 600BTNC is almost universally acclaimed. The Pure Bass is not just a gimmick. And bass is important if you want to listen to music as conceived by the artist.
Most of the wireless headphones on the market today leave a lot to be desired as far as sound quality is concerned. Fortunately, you need not fear this when buying JBL Bluetooth headphones.
Comfort level is high
When buying headphones, you need to look for a pair that’s comfortable enough to allow you to spend long hours with the gadget on your heads. There are some headphones on the market today that excessively clamp on one’s head.
Based on customer feedback, JBL Wireless Headphones Tune 600BTNC are good enough as far as comfort level is concerned. They are properly padded, allowing you to listen to your music without feeling as if you are carrying a sack on your head.
The wired option is great
This is a feature that you will find in several of the headphones that we have covered in this JBL Bluetooth headphones review. Having Wireless headphones is great, but there are instances when it pays to have the option to use a cable.
If you are simply working on your computer, as an example, having a cable allows you to save battery. There are also devices out there that only have a headphones jack without Bluetooth. So, having a cable that you can use to connect to any standard size headphones jack is great, and this is a feature that you find on JBL Wireless Headphones Tune 600BTNC.
Noise Cancelling is good
There are times when you simply wish to shut out everything while listening to your music or watching your favourite shows. This could be on a plane or on a train. Wherever, you are, Active Noise Cancelling is one feature that has been growing more and more in importance on headphones.
We have already defined what noise cancelling is. All that we can say here is noise cancelling on JBL Wireless Headphones Tune 600BTNC is good. Note that you will be hard pressed to find a pair of headphones that offer 100% noise cancelling. Not even Bose is able to give you that.
Battery life is good enough
The battery on these headphones will give you 12 hours of use without needing to be recharged. That’s with both ANC and Bluetooth turned on. Other headphones in this JBL wireless headphones review fare better in terms of battery life.
However, 12 hours should still be good enough for most people. Other headphones that we have reviewed on this site will get you 8 hours of use between charges. That’s the lowest threshold for Bluetooth headphones, as far as we have been able to find out.
So, 12 hours of use on JBL Wireless Headphones Tune 600BTNC is nothing to frown upon. Add to that the fact that you only need 2 hours to full charge these headphones, and you will see that battery life is more than adequate.
Sound quality reduced in Noise Cancelling mode
One of the complaints that you will find with regard to the JBL TUNE 600BTNC is that there is a slight distortion in the sound quality when Active Noise Cancelling is engaged.
One side not working
Some people have reported their headphones stopping working on one side after a while of use. Having this happen to you will probably be very annoying, in spite of the fact that you will have the option to return your headphones.

What do people say about this product?
Now that we have put aside what JBL says about its product, it’s time to check out what people have been saying online to find out if there is any truth to these claims. Bluetooth JBL headphones are generally well regarded. The Tune 750BTNC has, it has to be said, received a mixed bag of feedback from people who have bought it. The following are some of the things that people have said about JBL TUNE 750BTNC headphones;
Sound quality is good with prominent bass
One of the main selling points for JBL TUNE 750BTNC headphones is the JBL Pure Bass sound. Based on what people have been saying online, these headphones deliver on that. So, if you are really into bass for your music, this is a product that will satisfy your craving.
Sound quality is generally good. Under normal circumstances, that should actually be good enough. After all, you buy headphones for the sound quality. However, there have been some adverse reports relating to this product, as you see below.
It doesn’t matter if sound quality is great if the ear-pad is broken. Anyway, this is an honest JBL headphones review. We wouldn’t want to mislead our readers. These are all things that you need to take well into consideration before buying this product.
Noise cancelling is good enough
Most people get disappointed when they buy headphones because they are unable to find a product that offers 100% ANC. This applies whether one is talking about JBL or Bose. It’s very difficult to reach 100% ANC, though some brands approach very closely.
In our view, ANC does not actually need to be at the ultimate level. After all, having some ambient noise seep in is good. Otherwise, you are going to turn yourself into a Zombie or you are going to be knocked down by a car.
Noise Cancelling on JBL Headphones Wireless TUNE 750BTNC is generally noted to be good enough. It is, however, not 100%. So, if you are looking for that, you are going to have to look elsewhere. And good luck finding headphones that deliver 100% noise cancelling!
Hands free calling is decent
We have previously carried out other JBL Bluetooth headphones reviews, and reviews of other brands, and one complaint is that hands-free calling is less than ideal. A reason for this is the fact that these headphones do not have a microphone right in front of the mouth to pick up whatever it is that a person is saying. They have to pick up words from somewhere around the ears.
The result is that people that you are calling or that are calling you will tell you that your voice is a little muffled and distant. Some brands have tried to solve this issue by having multiple microphones to pick up words from various angles. Anyway, JBL Tune 750 BTNC headphones actually do a pretty decent job of picking up your voice. Your voice will be a little bit distorted, but people will have no problem hearing what you are saying.
Comfort level is great
As noted earlier, comfort level is an important consideration when buying headphones. That’s particularly the case if you spend large parts of the day with yours on your ears.
Go online today, and you will notice that JBL Headphones Wireless TUNE 750BTNC are great in terms of comfort level. From what we have gathered while doing countless JBL headphones reviews, comfort level is generally very good across the company’s product range.
Battery life is good enough
JBL Headphones Wireless TUNE 750 BTNC offer a battery life of 15 hours. That’s less than what is on the LIVE 650BTNC. The JBL LIVE 650BTNC has a battery life of 30 hours. So, the Tune 750BTNC is not the best JBL wireless headphones in terms of battery life.
However, it has to be said that 15 hours is still a lot, considering that the average person only uses their headphones for 3 hours per day. So, you have enough juice to last your about 5 days.
Add to that the fact that charging can be done in 2 hours, and you will see that battery life is not really an issue. Note that when using these headphones solely in wired mode, Noise Cancelling is extended to 30 hours.
Connect 2 devices at once
This is a really great feature that allows you stay connected to your phone while getting audio from another device. Let’s assume that you are streaming music from the internet via your laptop. You can still listen to that on your headphones while retaining connectivity via your phone. When a call comes in, the other sounds that are streaming in will be cut off so that you can take your call wirelessly.
Any JBL wireless headphones review would be incomplete without looking at some of the complaints about particular products. We have already noted that JBL Headphones Wireless TUNE 750BTNC have received a more than normal share of criticism from users.
Generally, there is no product out there that does not have negative reviews. However, we wouldn’t advice people to buy any product that comes with a rating that’s below 4 out of 5. Otherwise, you will be setting yourself up for disappointment.
Below are some of the complaints that have been left by people who have bought JBL Tune 750 headphones;
They have weak points on foldable portions
One complaint is that JBL Headphones Bluetooth TUNE 750BTNC has points of weakness, particularly on the foldable portions. These are prone to breaking off, which is not ideal considering that there are cheaper headphones out there that fare better.
Defects in workmanship
There have also been complaints relating to poor quality workmanship. Some people have either received headphones that did not work at all or ones that only worked for a short while before packing up.
What do you get when you buy?
When you buy these headphones, you get the following;
- JBL TUNE 750BTNC headphones
- A charging cable
- Detachable cable
This is the most difficult part of any JBL Wireless headphones review. Heck, it’s the most difficult part of any product review. So, what do we recommend in terms of the JBL TUNE 750BTNC? As noted, this particular product from JBL appears to have some issues.
Sound quality is as great as can be expected on a JBL product. However, there are some issues with the workmanship. Generally, we would recommend that you look at another JBL product, such as the JBL LIVE 650BTNC, which has gotten more positive feedback from its users.
You can buy the Tune 750BTNC, but first go through the reviews to find out if you are willing to take the risk.
